Who we are
Forres Youth Choir is a youth choir based in Forres, Moray, directed by Shaun Brown and Adam Csenki. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can reach us at hello@forresyouthchoir.co.uk.
What data we collect
When you register a young person to join the choir, we collect the following information through our join form:
- Singer’s name
- Singer’s age or date of birth
- Parent or guardian’s name
- Parent or guardian’s email address
- Any relevant medical or additional needs information you choose to share
We may also collect your email address if you contact us directly or sign up for updates.
How we use your data
We use your information to:
- Manage membership and attendance through Byrd, our membership management system
- Communicate with parents and guardians about rehearsals, performances, and choir news
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of our singers
We will never sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes. Data held in Byrd is subject to Byrd’s own privacy and data processing policies.
How long we keep your data
We retain your data for as long as the young person is a member of the choir. If a singer leaves the choir, we will delete their personal data within 12 months unless we are required to keep it for legal or safeguarding reasons.
How to request deletion
You can request that we delete your data at any time by emailing hello@forresyouthchoir.co.uk. We will action your request within 30 days.
Your rights under GDPR
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct any inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
- Portability — request your data in a portable format
- Objection — object to certain types of processing
