Who can join?

Forres Youth Choir is open to all young people in P3–S6 (ages 8–18). There are no auditions and no minimum standard — if you want to sing, you’re in.

We rehearse at St Laurence Forres, a community-owned arts and events space. Rehearsals are Thursdays, 4.30–6.00 pm, starting Thursday 16 April 2026.

Whether your child has been singing for years or has never been in a choir before, they’ll be welcome here. We believe great music starts with an open door. Please register below before attending — we need emergency contact details for every singer.

Is there an audition?

No. There is no audition and no minimum standard. You just need to want to sing. We do ask that you register before your first rehearsal so we have emergency contact details on file.

My child has never sung in a choir before — is that okay?

That’s exactly who we’re here for. Sign up and we’ll make sure they feel right at home from day one.

What does it cost?

£15 per child per month. Cost should never be a barrier — please speak to us if fee support would be helpful.

When and where do you rehearse?

What will my child actually sing?

Everything. We sing across a wide range of styles — always chosen for quality, variety, and because it will help our young singers grow.
